Founded in May 1996, the Rafaela gallery is home to a massive variety of replica icons - mostly Bulgarian Orthodox but also foreign. It also plays host to copies of churches' and monasteries' frescos, and even some original woodcarvings. If you're into religious or iconic art then this gallery really is made for you: otherwise, it may prove a trifle dry.
