Woman Gives Birth on Sofia Tram
Last Tuesday, an unusual event happened in a commuter tram on Alexander Stamboliyski Boulv in downtown Sofia. Understandably caught off guard, a 34 year old woman alerted the driver that she is going into labor.
Luckily a nurse was found on board the tram and assisted the woman in giving birth to a baby boy.
Emergency services arrived later, only to help in cutting the umbilical cord.
According to the Sofia Public Transport Company, this is not the first time a woman has given birth on Sofia public transportation.
